(Plunge)
- 远距离一箭试探敌人前摇;
- 记住 1–2 个主要招式;
1. Melee (sword)
Light attacks and rhythm
The sword is Iko's most reliable damage source — usable on the ground and in the air. Three light presses trigger a 3-hit string, with the third hit having longer reach and a small pause. Mix it with rolls to create a stable poke-kite loop.
Plunge / charged strike
Press ↓ + attack in the air to slam down. It's the hard-puzzle key in Islets: it breaks wooden crates, metal crates, and certain floors, and acts as a "second fall" for control. Plunges have heavy recovery — roll out the moment you land.
2. Dodge / roll
Rolling is the lifeblood of Islets combat. It grants brief invincibility (i-frames) plus a small reposition. Three places to use it:
- Evade boss sweeps, ground slams, and projectiles through the i-frames.
- Cancel the recovery of your sword by rolling, then re-engage or move away.
- Reposition to a boss's back during a safe window to land free damage.
One roll is usually enough. Two rolls in a row usually means your positioning was wrong.
3. Bow (ranged)
The bow is not a raw DPS tool — it's a spacing and rhythm tool. Its value:
- Trigger distant enemies or mechanisms without exposing yourself.
- Safe damage after a roll, before a plunge: arrow → plunge.
- Special arrows (Cloud Shot, etc.) double as puzzle keys.
4. Air movement
Jump & double jump
Jump height is fixed; Double Jump (the first major ability) lets you press jump again in the air. It opens up most vertical exploration and many ability gates.
Air sword and plunge
You can swing the sword in the air to hit enemies below. The Plunge (charged strike) is both a weapon and a controlled landing. New players often press attack too early — wait until the apex of the jump for cleaner hits and landings.
5. Wall climb (late ability)
With Wall Climb, Iko can latch onto vertical surfaces mid-air, climb freely, and wall-jump off them. Common patterns:
- Latch → jump for extra height between ledges.
- Latch → back-jump for diagonal routes.
- Slide-and-jump to cross wide rooms quickly.
6. The 3-second look
Enemies in Islets telegraph their attacks clearly (audio cues, charged glows, marker lines). Adopt a "look first" habit:
- Fire one arrow from range to read the enemy.
- Identify 1–2 main attacks.
- Lock into "look → roll → strike → reset".
Islets difficulty is "easy if you look, repeating if you don't".
7. Suggested practice path
Internalise jump and roll
Use the first isle's open platforms to drill jump + roll until it's muscle memory.
Practice "look 3 seconds"
Roll only, no attack; read the move-set before retaliating.
Mix range in
Add "roll → arrow → sword" to the loop after earning Double Jump.
Create safe space
Re-visit an early boss with the climb tool; use vertical space to find back-positions.
